I appreciate (and understand) this story and how it works a lot more now that I'm older. Every couple of years I like to come back and give it another read, and every time, I learn something new. I don't think I'll ever forget Frost or the amazing fun memories and laughter had with everyone involved in it. Thank you again, Shade, for capturing this moment in time for us all.

I just realized I never reviewed the final chapter of Frost.

Whelp, Happy and Stolloss pretty much said everything I wanted to say.

Frost was such an important story to me while it was being written, and it still is an important story to me; I tend to come back and reread it around once a month/every 2 months.

This story helped me make so many good friends on this site and helped me develop as a writer in so many ways. I honestly don't think I would be the person I am on FF without having been a part of Frost.

Now, onto the story itself:

Although there were many cliff hangers and unanswered questions I had, I literally threw them all out the window at the end. The fact of the matter is that the story is perfect the way it is and doesn't need any more or any less detail for any reason at all. Who cares if there were some things that were left to speculation; that's the beauty of it.

I was surprised, moved, and just experienced so many emotions at once. Maybe that's why it took me so long to write a final farewell to Frost.

Shade, you will always be an inspiration to me and I hope you find time to start writing some fanfiction again soon because I honestly don't think I'd be able to live without your writing. xD Although, I'm sad that Frost is over, I'm thankful to you for being so diligent in updating as frequently as you did and as amazingly as you did.

And with that I will close the 242nd review of The Frost Experiment.

I really like this story, it's very well written. Grace is really cool, along with Tabbot, and your portrayed the evil stepmother nicely. XD

So, I want to say almost exactly what Happy said, except it took me nearly a month to decide that the words simply were not coming.

Amazing end to an amazing story. The characters were written phenomenally (even if they made an overwhelmingly large cast), you kept up a complex and multisided plot that defeats all my attempts to explain, and you write images, not words.

I'll PM you if I the words in my head ever become coherent.

This whole chapter tasted like broken bones, the bittersweet oh look the ground is rushing up to meet me crack.

You know that feeling you get when something really wonderful and perfect comes to an end and you want to be sad, but you can't because you're really just very satisfied? That's what I'm feeling right now. That COMPLETE right up there at the top broke my heart, but in a good way.

To be honest, I had to reread the chapter approximately nine times. Every time I went over it it made more sense and it felt a little less like my brains had just been blown out with a gun that shoots chickpeas instead of bullets.

Part of my mind was preparing a review of epic proportions, detailing in all the excellences that is Frost, but then I clicked the little button and my brain took a vacation. It's probably hanging in some swank psychological cafe and drinking cappucinos whilst eating over-priced scones.

But either way.

The end was like a punch in the face that you know is coming; you're not too terribly surprised, but it still hurts and your eyes still water a bit.

Ugh. I have no words. They seem to be taking a poorly timed break, right along with my brain. But all the matters is that this was so, so pretty and this story in its entirety was so, so pretty and I will sit tonight and mull over everything. Then I will eat ice cream and go to sleep (it's a plan).

Fabulous, fabulous job, Shade. And thank you for writing the amazing-ness that is The Frost Experiment. You're awesome~

Madame Shade, I knew since the first chapter this was the greatest story I'd ever read, and any doubt I have about that is now in the negatives. Which would make it positive thoughts. SO there.

You wrapped this up so nicely, which is to say you covered every side but left that one little opening on the present, where you can't see /what/ the gift is but you know it's something you've always wanted. I can't imagine a better ending.

Oh yeah, and Will & Grace. Hooray for pop-culturally appropriate relationships... except I'm pretty sure Grace isn't Jewish and Will is not gay, despite Lauren's insistence. xD

Also, Nathan and Izzy, unless I'm mistaken. They work too.

Umm... Thompson just gained 1000 cool points for his ending there.

I could go on and on and on, but all I will say is that I love you in a way that will not endanger my relationship with my girlfriend, which is to say it isn't 'love' per se but just plain respect. I'm honored to be a reader of the whole Frost saga, I'm honored that my OC was one of the main characters, chillin' with Nathan and Izzy and Grace, and I'm honored that he survived... at least until the bomb did or did not go off.

Either way... yeah. F'ing amazing. Enough said.

Honestly, sweetheart, I don't know how you do it. Because I was reading, see, and then I was thinking, "Well, maybe this is the end of the world." But then it wasn't and I was happy and then I got to the end I was like, "Uh-oh, who's it gonna be?" I mean, it's the perfect cliffhanger, see, and it was really well done and, like, well, Davion is really hot in that fictional character sort of way but that's completely off topic.

All the characters are absolutely gorgeous when you write them and so now I love all of them desperately (especially Davion and Grace and Will and Mika because they're all so funny in that broken sort of way).

So, um, like, a few typos to watch out for, see, and I totally feel like a jerkface when I say that because you're totally awesome and um. But, yes, something to watch out for. Otherwise, it was written as beautifully as Tchaikovsky wrote music. Or something like that.

Okay, so this is going to sound totally strange, but I was actually kind of sad that the Dean got smacked over the head with a chair, because in my brain-Frost-canon, the Dean is like an indestructible force. Sort of like country music, except more evil and kind of like a mafia boss or something.

Is it weird that the Dean is one of my favorite characters?

...I have a thing for people with power. And money. And money.

But either way, I'm so desperately wanting to know what happens next, that it feels like my hip just pulled itself out of its socket. But that's irrelevant. Totally looking forward to the next chapter.
