Oh please do continue this fantastic story and concept! Either as a chaptered story or as a series of one-shots - there are so many possibilities! The new female Doctor could wind up with Mickey having a crush on her, for one! And really, how -would- Rose deal with the fact that she can't even -try- to make the Doctor jealous anymore...because he's a woman now? :D Oh, and the issues the Doctor would have to face, with this sudden transgenderment - those would be interesting to explore too.

Not to mention, would a female Doctor have less patience for all of Rose's faults? Inquiring minds want to know! (but they're too busy writing other stories to do the work themselves :D)

I love this particular regeneration story you've got - in all the 9th to 10th doctor regeneration stories, there isn't any thoughts from either doctor before and after the change.

The part in the beginning about the doctor cursing rose for her stupidity is brilliant, as is the part which states that she'd gloat about how good she is.

Somehow, I can't see the Doctor agreeing with her for making him waste one of his now precious lives.

Interesting so far ... you thinking of continuing this story at all? Say ... do at least a series or so with the alternate Doctor? I don't know if anyone else would be willing to read it, but I swear I'D do my damned best to. You have a good, consistent, fluid style of writing which works well, and I can already see many changes in this female version of the Doctor - more restrained in warmth towards Rose yet still warmer than Nine, somewhat sarcastic yet less caustic, calmer and gentler yet still eccentric about the whole process. And ... hmm, I wonder how Rose would take the regeneration in the long run? It would certainly be refreshing to read a tale in which she and the Doctor fall more into best friends rather than lovers ... But of course, whether you continue or not is entirely up to you.
