awww I really wanted her to lay her palm against his cheek and acknowledge him! Ah well. This was beautifully written. I love the parenting theme as a whole, and also Edward and Bella's relationship through Carlisle's eyes, it was very insightful. Great job :)

this was great! i absolutely LOVE carlisle contemplations, especially about his family. i love how hes worrying about all the vampire stuff with the baby but then tacks on the whole typical "have we been good parenting examples for edward?" worry. fantastic little story

oh my gosh, that was simply amazing! one of the sweetest stories i've ever read! i'm about to have my first baby and it took us 9 years and thousands of dollars of treatments to have the opportunity. the whole time i read your story i just felt, i don't know, elated i guess. he feels like a little miracle to me too, so i sort of felt like i related to them and all they were saying. it was so sweet seeing edward with renesmee. aahhh...thank you for writing this!

p.s. i loved it from carlisle's perspective, getting to hear all this questions and thoughts and worries. it was so on the mark!

I really like the premise of this story. The idea of Carlisle having grandfatherly feelings, and his graceful yet introspective review of his own actions, is interesting. You did a great job of capturing his intelligence, wisdom, and heart. Very nice work.
