Wow, until a few minutes ago I didn't even think there was Vinland Saga fanfiction out there. So this was my first one and it made me like this pairing even more. :) Cute how both are so clueless.

I saw this story on the LJ comm a few days ago when I first started reading this manga and figured I'd see what was out there in the way of fanworks for it. I really, really loved it then, but when I found it here I figured I'd review.

"Canute gradually, hesitantly, hooks a leg round one of Thorfinn's, and settles his hands on his shoulders, because, well, it can't get any worse."

XD (this is one of my many favorite parts, because I knew it had to get worse, and did it ever.) I love the way Thorfinn is too wrapped up in himself to have a clue he's doing it wrong, and how Canute tries to fix it and just gives up. I think that's what's best about these two-when they're together, it's the first time that they really have a peer in their cluelessness. They don't know how to be young, but they are and it's going to catch up with them eventually. That shows up in this very nicely.

So, I just wanted to say this is my favorite Thorfinn/Canute story (not that there are many but I think it's going to be in the top few for quite a while). And now this has become long and rambling, so I'm just going to say that I hope you write more of these two, and thank you for a lovely story. :)
