Would reccomend tweaking the dialogue a bit, you write speech with a correctness that people don’t have eg do not is usually spoken as don’t, be afraid of me is usually don’t be scared or it’s ok etc. I know V speaks less casually but you can contrast his vocabe against hers to make a real sense of who is speaking, rather than just using dialogue for plot development
