This is definitely a 'food for thought piece.' It was an exceptionally good choice to have both participants willing and unwilling at the same time. Sometimes the most effective action is the most frightening, which you really brought out in Harry and in Snape. And in character too. Good job!

Ah, nice job. Lots of emotion and a good, believable windup, without taking away from what the characters are like. Loved the bit with Dumbledore in ch2.

Wow, I really enjoyed this! I don't normally read much Harry Potter fiction (though I am a fan of the series, I just tend to find the fanfiction not to my taste!) but thought I'd give this a try seeing as I like your other stories and I'm really glad I did. It was surprisingly realistic and seemed like this could genuinely happen, and you got everyone brilliantly in character. Dumbledore especially! Awesome :)

I feel really honoured - and it makes me feel even more sorry that I haven't reviewed this chapter until now - be assured that this delay is due to my busy real life at the moment and has got nothing to do with your chapter, because I think it's brilliant! So let's finally start with the actual review:

The scene with Filch was perfect. Filch's gloating about the upcoming decree about corporal punishment made it plausible how Harry got the idea in the first place.

The scene when Harry entered Dumbledore's office and was surprised to meet him there - I have to admit that while reading your first chapter and up to that point I had forgotten completely that during the pensieve incident DD had already left the school! I liked the converation Harry had with him, especially the part * "It's just … it's just that it's … well, it's personal, sir," he said heavily. "And that," Dumbledore sighed, "is exactly what I'm afraid of, Harry." * The doubts DD expressed were only too justified!

I liked how you kept everyone in character, I enjoyed reading this chapter and I hope we'll get to read more from you in the HP universe.
