Kai will you just stop with trying to return everything...

This sucks, when i find a story where Daveth is along with Eliisa Couseland and Alistair, it ends up a dead story.

I wish Bioware made it to where if you did something you could save Daveth and/or Ser Jory from their fate.

Glad to see the story continuing. Enjoyed your interplay of game dialog and thoughts and reactions. Remodels...always go awry in some way...hope you're enjoying the new bath soon and that you feel better and better and your muse returns in full force.

Can't wait for the next chapter! I can't get over how awesome it is to see Daveth alive and well. In my next playthrough of DA:O I'm going to be bummed out when he dies during the Joining. :(

I have read a lot of stories retelling the game, and played it quite a few times as well, and was getting bored with that kind of story. But your story is so well written and rich. I love your characterization of Kai and Daveth. Daveth makes me think of an earthier, less refined Zev, which just makes me sigh. I always have troble choosing between Zev and Ali, but Ali always wins in the end. I hope you keep going on this story and can update it. I am looking forward to reading more of your work. Thanks for writing for all of us that can't.

This is probably the second review I've ever left, but you're such a good writer! I love this take on the Cousland Origin game, and it's such a great read.
Also, I just realized how awesome it is to have a story where Daveth lives. He should have lived in the game, they only couldn't because that would just make too many companions I feel like now. This is the FIRST one I've read where I'm keeping with your story even though it's slightly non-cannon now.

It's so good to see you writing again! I continue to enjoy Davith's interjections, though I can't help but wonder how long he'll last (sad thing to think of I know, but I can't help but be curious).I also enjoyed Kai's views on the conditions in Lothering. Her frustrations, her need to help, all make sense given her personality. Great work. Hope to see more from you soon!

Okay, I have to say keeping Daveth around really helps with the story! The way you weave his dialogue and reactions in there is almost as seamless as if he was written in there in game! Awesome job!

Also fabulous description with the bandits outside of Lothering. You manage to capture the dimwitted one and the leader quite well, even better than the game presents I think!

Good to see you're still working on this as I love this story, and the sequel or prequel depending how you look at it :) Hope you're still working on that one also as I've missed both to be honest.

I love the interaction between Daveth and Morrigan, they're like a comic duo that helps relieve the darkness of the story if you like. Kai's developing relationship with Alistair is lovely as she knows exactly what he's going through, with the loss of Duncan and all he knows. Beautifully written and I can see this getting to the point of souls meeting and becoming inseparable quite quickly.
