Patrick's wife is not named Kelly nor is his daughter named Sam. His wife was Angela and his daughter was Charlotte. Where did you get Kelly and Sam from?

He's learned that the biggest pain and humiliation he can inflict on Red John is showcasing his new found happiness right in front of him and even if he kind of used it as a tool, it's still a better tool than the gun he was holding and therefore, you can get over the least romantic proposal of the century.

I feel like i was so narrow-minded before. The first time it was him and a gun, very simple, but that wasn't Red John. There has to be something else for the next time. Jane knows how to step up his game.

Saved by the bell. Patrick draws away to go open the door to the delivery boy and you bite back a curse. Since when has your life become such a maddening cliché? Who wrote the script to this infuriating B-movie you seem to be stuck in? (AN…eh…sorry…that would be me)

Best moment of the whole bit so far, though the AN wasn't necessary, I think. :D

And when does Jane ever, EVER not wear a three-piece suit? I can practically count on the fingers of one hand... (the one surfer episode where he takes the jacket off)

Frankly, I've not seen an entire season of the Mentalist yet, so it's entirely possible that in the end his style changes, but I highly doubt it.

For more information, see episode 1.01 where he goes to bed on an awful mattress under the horrible smile in that godforsaken, bare house. Ugh. He just lies down and pretends to himself he's going to go to sleep.

I really, really don't like Red John.

I wonder if he still has the paper... *shiver*

Veered a wee too close to the sappy side of things right near the end. Or maybe that was me being slightly put off by the disclaimer, which, while probably accurate, is also Not Good.

Molto bene! I loved this story and I totally think that this fits into the category of a fairy tale. I completely disagree with the fact that it was not a romantic proposal. I think that a man facing death and possibly making his last act asking you to marry him is incredibly romantic. Forget candles, expensive food and roses it totally hits the top of my list of story proposals. I must say, I'm going to miss reading this story but it was finished well and I cannot wait to read more from you.
