I love this story so much! It feeds my BorisxAlice feels... I adore them together. I don't know if you'll ever update again, but thanks for leaving the story up for readers.

This is a really fun story! I like the AU you created. It's creepy how well you've captured Ace. Hot/cold, ditzy/psycho. And Blood. I almost snorted when Blood said she likes it in the back. And I liked how this chapter showed the other side of Elliot. Truth be told you've captured them all extremely well. Boris will always be my favorite though. :) thanks for writing!

BorisxAlice is my favorite wonderland pairing after I read the Cheshire Cat Walz

Usually I tend to stay away from harem-stories because oftentimes there's too much going on and it feels like fanservice for the lucky gal to get all the guys in the yard. But this one I can stomach, there's an obvious pairing - unless you throw a twist in the end, and while it may be obvious, the others probably won't make it so easy for them, huh. Specifically Blood, I caught that glint there, mmmm-hm. Ace is actually my favorite out of the cast (from the manga and even in here) but he seems pretty distant in this story - and I mean that in the emotional sense. Which is very Ace of him so good characterization there.

As I kept reading I couldn't help but think, damn, this girl can really juggle everybody, huh. The dialogue and the scenes are never overwhelming, everyone gets their due attention. ALL of them are in character and I love how you are aware of their characteristic wording and by that I mean, just from dialogue alone, I can tell who's talking. I like how Alice actually has a personality here (although tsundere isn't really an original route but eh, for this story, it will work). In the manga, it was hard to tell her personality traits besides being somewhat curious and helpful/nice, otherwise, she just seemed like a placeholder for the reader's fantasies.

The only thing I will say to be careful about is that with her 'tragic history,' it is easy to over-dramatize her emotions, actions, and thoughts. In other words, making a huge deal out of it to get sympathy from the closest male. That's a very characteristic feature of most shoujo and while I know Heart no Kuni no Alice is in fact a shoujo, I hope writers on here can go beyond that, ne? Yes, I can concur that whatever happened to her is certainly a big factor to molding the person she is now but just to get sympathy points to help the 'relationship' along is too contrived. At some point, yes, she'll have to reveal her story but I've seen way too many authors do it in a way that seemed so planned and...ugh. It's hard to convey what I'm trying to say since as a writer, you do have to 'plan' things in here but eh, I think you got the gist of what I'm trying to say. I'm saying all of this now because in her scene with Boris, I thought it strange how she was leaning closer to him while she was revealing her past. Alice is still at odds and ends with people interaction in general and while she does get along better with Boris, I think any 'kiss' is a bit too soon. (Which I'm guessing the interruption was for, but still, the gesture is still there - great work on the Alice fanclub idea though, haah. I was expecting the cliche fanclub-jealousy lecture but you really took that male uniform into consideration so bravo.)

Another thing is.. I felt she caved a bit too easily to Boris's idea of interacting with the whole house and human population. You keep having her reiterating things like 'I can't get close to anybody. But hmm, they seem nice..I think I can pull myself away if I do so. But no! I can't let -that- happen again.' And all of that just seems completely at odds with her decision to finally know the people she's living with... the transition will have to happen eventually but it seemed abrupt. Half the time she's conceded to "hanging out" with them but the other half, she pushes other people away (like Remy, okay, yeah, he's not her house-mate but that still seems to go against Boris's suggestion). And don't get me wrong, you at least did a fine job of not having her jump into things too quickly (i.e. at the North Patio with Blood and Elliot, she still kept her distance) but I just thought it puzzling how her thought processes built up to that point when it's so split. I'm guessing you're trying to portray how she's at war with her past and trying to move on but the development to the 'moving on' part was like, whaa- when did she start thinking that way (and heck, I don't think Alice herself is aware that she -wants- to move on at all).

But okay, enough of that, I just thought to give my two cents as it's quite apparent you have a great handling of these characters and writing ability but there are still some tinkering that can be done to make it even better. There are a lot of things I liked about this story, namely Blood's characteristic habit of being hot and then cold, Ace's perceptive schizo-ness, and etc. but it would take a whole 'nother essay to list them. (Also, I noticed this is a very frequent error of yours - every time you say 'watching up/back or watching at' - I believe you mean, 'looking up/back or looking at.')

I love this story! I don't know where you got the idea for this story from, but it's great! Please update this soon...it's amazing and i'm sure lots of people would be willing to update or make this one of their favorite stories...or at least I will. ;)
