Oh, gorgeous. I love how it's all illusions, including her saviour - but with the brackets showing more of the truth, the last line shows that the illusion is partly true, too. This is perfect for this pairing and lovely in its own right. Especially this: "pictures clusters of galaxies cradled in the palms of his outstretched hands, the light branding swirling patterns of his colours on her skin." SO lovely.
