It's not every day that you find truly quality fanfiction. From the first sentence, I knew this story was well thought out and well put together. I also like the hopeful but inconclusive ending. And of course, you respected the source material, which is always the mos improtant aspect of fanfiction. Thank you for this genuinely appreciable contribution.

I hope you will return soon, I really love that you are taking the reality of losing a limb into account. I've read other stories and seen Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon and neither of those show the diffulculty of prothesis. Great story so far, and I hope it continues.
