Brilliant! I, too, love Morrigan and was most upset with the ending of Origins...hence my trawling through Dragon Age fanfiction in the hopes of finding some decently written in-character works. And I am not disappointed! Your characterisation is perfect and I do love your Cousland; Darius works incredibly well with Morrigan. Needless to say, I've enjoying these insights very much so far. Do keep up the good work! I look forward to more.

That was...quite the in medias res...wouldn't have recommended revealing that Alistair either dies or, more likely, we had our god child, in the flash back, but it still works. Keeping Loghain alive is an interesting choice and I look forward to seeing how you work it out.

Hmmm, an interesting mix of the dark and light side here in Cousland and so far, quite believable. I like that he almost sees Morrigan more as diversion now, given his grief and the stress of his oath, than anything more. Not that I don't think you can't turn those feelings, simply that it's nice to have some show of patience and realism. I look forward to seeing the return of Will as well as Cousland's/Morrigan's oppinions on the various other characters. As a final note, Darius' absence of shame is unusual given his upbringing. Perhaps an explanation of some sort? Maybe an old womanizer or a long time soldier...

You have a gift for the banter between Alistair and Morrigan - I look forward to lots more of it. And I love the little details that catch the personalities, like Wynne's happy face turned up to the rain.

I do like the depiction of Morrigan as domestic goddess. It fits very nicely and adds depth and color to her character.
