This was just incredible. It's not very often I read darker fic (I tend to go for the soppy/fluffy ones!) but this was...I can't even describe it. Every chapter had me reeling, I couldn't believe what was happening! You depicted the harrowing situation amazingly well, and to see Alex so degraded was simply heartbreaking. This was fantastic, I can't wait to read more of your fics!x

Wicked! love it, I had three whole chapters to read and I loved it! After going through so much it's nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel for Alex! Best Ashes to Ashes fanfic ever!

I have only just caught up with this fic and have read all 21 chapters at a single sitting, my mouth hanging open in amazement, and I've been shuddering or crying out in horror at each new, terrible twist to the story. I think this must be the darkest A2A fic I have ever read, but my goodness it is compulsive reading. I can't help wondering where you get these appalling ideas, but at the same time I take off my hat to your genius. The horror of Alex's degradation is made all the greater because her colleagues are forced to witness it, and their responses to it are a crucial element of the story. Even Keats makes a crucial breakthrough at one point, rot him! (But the moment when he tried to take her soul chilled my blood like nothing else). And I was fascinated by the discovery that Gene's mysterious brunette was Annie, who turns out to be their guardian angel. I'm lost for further words, but this story is brilliant. Sorry not to have reviewed each chapter, but I couldn't stop to review when I knew the rest of the story was there, waiting to be read... Wow.

I can't believe I have only just got around to reading this. It was absolutely brilliant; mindblowingly fantastic. I don't normally go for dark agnsty stories but I thought I'd give it a chance and I was hooked at the first chapter.

The way you kept us on the edge of our seats was amazing and I could really sense what all the characters were feeling. I think I saw somewhere there was a sequel to this? *runs off to find it*
