I think France lost Canada after the Seven Years' War, which ended back in 1763, so it was definitely before the American Revolution.
Just saying...
But this story itself is awesome!

I know that this story is quite old . . . It's so far back in the FrUk category . . . but I thought I'd still take the time to point out that England already had Canada by the time of the American Revolution. England won the rights to French territories in North America (including Canada) during what Europe calls the Seven Years War and North America calls the French and Indian War.

Other than that and some other minor stuff (incorrect word usage - England shuttered should be England shuddered), very interesting.

...I suddenly hate Francis with major passion right now. I'm honestly surprised at this. I hate him very much, here.

He's haveing a discusion with Arthur about Alfred growing up and the whole fight but...I suddenly find him both caring and cruel. He's basicaly going to GIVE Canada to England after a 'PLAY WAR' to replace America with. I find that amazingly callous.

Maybe if the whole fight for Canada was Englands Idea and France was warned then...but he's not. He could have Given Canada withoug the pretense of war...

You are a good writer and have goten me emotionaly involved in this piece of fic, just in a completely unexpected way.

interesting fic. though you do realize that England took over Canada during the 7 years war ( french and indian wars) and its that initial war that led to the problems that led to the American revolution? so despite historical inaccuracies it was a cute fic.

So here I am, laying in bed, reading fanfics, occasionally zoning out, as I often do. And what do I think about when I zone out? Well, Matt, of course, in various situations. Then, when I go back to paying attention to the screen, what do I see sitting at the top of a Hetalia fic? Why, reference to Matt. And what has this serendipitous moment resulted in? A really amusing mental image of a French Matt, fitting right in with his stereotypical black and white striped shirt and his cigarettes (now in one of those fashionable cigarette holders, like the one Cruella had in 101 Dalmatians). Plus a beret, of course. ..And an accent. OKAY ANYWAY.. (..Though, gotta say, the idea of England being Mello and America being Near.. Eeeeeefhfgh no, ahaha.)

Hetalia sure does make me feel like a prick for being an American and being so mean to poor England.

I really loved this. I know what you mean about never finding what you came looking for with FrUK. This was sweet - but not overly - and very well written, we need more like it. XD I've alwys enjoyed reading this era, too. You should definitely keep writing more. Excellent job.

Ah, definitely more. As the "France" in my friends and my cosplaying attempt, I say that this hits the mark in their relationship. I mean, being immortal must stink, in my opinion.

Ahaha. Best fic yet! XD I really liked this one. I'm really starting to think you're a great France role-player/writer. You don't have to make him crack-ish or unnecessarily dopey (like he is in the anime) while still making him believable. I do love your France, I think you've insired a lot of love for that character, for me.
