Hey there, PoliceCommander! This is pretty interesting...I haven't seen too many female!tactician fics, or at least ones that weren't Mary Sues. This one definitely isn't, so that's pretty cool! It's short, but IMO the interaction between Kaela and Sain was pretty cute, although it was sad how she eventually left him. ;_; Good work! :)

Well, I must admit this is a first for this pairing. At least as far as I've been reading in the fire emblem fandom. So congrats for breaking new(I think?) ground.

The ending seems kind of 'chopped off'. You do wrap everything up in a neat bundle with your italicized explanation but it feels like there was so much more interaction that could have been had between Sain and the tactician. Yearning for freedom and a debt of honor to a place are not irreconcilable, at least not if you're trying to put Sain in the place of holding the honor debt. He does leave Caelin in most of his endings - some of which include a woman.

But aside from that, it was a nice lite read. So don't take this as a major criticism. I'll leave that to better authors. _~
