wonderful short story. well characterized. I suppose russia would know much about tears. On a side note in russia there is a superstition that giving a scarf as a gift would bring many tears to the recipient. wonder what russia did for ukraine to dislike him so?

I want to say "beautiful" but I'm not sure if that's the right word. Your writing is beautiful; Russia's logic is beautifully said; America's child-like characterization is beautifully written. I just don't think I can call the story "beautiful".

This was strangely philosophical. I really liked it. Russia's logic fascinates me, and America's childish view of... well, life I guess made me smile.

I wish I was more into history so I could place when this happened, but alas, I need to study more.
