Ooh I love it when people acknowledge Canada's complete and utter badassery. :D Especially in the World Wars. I love that you chose the Battle of Ortona too. Not many people know about it, so I'm kinda of surprised. I love the way you described the scene too. I could visualize it perfectly in my head. CHILLS I TELL YOU.

This is beautiful. I loved it a lot. Very nicely detailed and you captured the intensity of the moment well, without going off into tangents that would take your reader's focus away from the issue at hand. I agree that Canada gets overlooked more than he should, but so does most of the truly down and dirty points of the world wars in Hetalia. That being said, you do a wonderful job of bringing him to life here, and keeping both him and Germany in character, I could see the both of them acting and thinking like this during a battle from what is shown in the anime, so wonderful job.

First off, I gotta say thank you. Not many people represent Canada like this, and I'm always really happy when I see someone who does. It's hard growing up in Canada and having to face people whose faces go blank when my countries name is mentioned (I think I've actually had to say to someone 'you know, the big country on top of America'- it was said with a smile on my face though, because some passive aggressiveness has to go hand in hand with being polite XD) or having to explain to my own COUSIN whose American that, yes, we have computers and no, I don't ride a polar bear to school.

Secondly, you might see me creeping about some of your old stories. I found this great author on Tumblr, and after by chance finding out that that author is you, where I realized I have already read a lot of your stories and love them, I thought might as well go through the list of your hetalia stories and read some more!

I like this. It's a bit short, but the writing is nice, and I really like the way Canada is portrayed in here. Good bit of angst and character analysing. This is very good.

As a Canadian, I am overjoyed to see someone realizes how freakin' scary we were in WWII. Thanks for seeing past the compromising exterior.

We did scare the Germans back in WW1 and WW2...They gave us a nickname...I forgot what though but other than that this is awesome :D
