But what story as more impressive. I totally loved it & you also write very well: D Congratulations! I heard this story through Jello Forever forum because it came in winners and said: Ok, you have to take a look. It's great. REALLY.

First off, I love the premise of this. The fact that she indeed never says "I told you so". The fact that you linked it back to that S1 ep. That you continued to include more episode tags, and fed us little extra scenes. Brilliantly done.

This was a very interesting way of narrating a story, you have Lisbon's personality down into the details. It created such an intense atmosphere throughout the progression of their relationship, so very realistic.

"She keeps the origami crane.

In time, he adds to her collection."

It's these tidbits that you provided which made me absolutely adore this. (Plus, it reminded me of Prison Break and Michael & Sara and my heart broke a little, but that's beside the point :p)

I had a dozen more things I wanted to mention while I was reading this, but I've forgotten them all after having reached the end. The wonderfully fitting ending. Oh my.

Let me start out by saying that I LOVE this story. You did a wonderful job! I especially like that you started not where the actual series starts, but from where Jane and Lisbon's relationship starts. I like your interpretations of all the things we didn't see/havn't seen yet. All very believable.

This was so angsty (in a good way), so maybe it's weird that my reaction at the end was Yay! But it was. Yay! I really loved this, thanks for posting it.

This was amazing! It made me sad that Jane didn't get to exact his revenge, but in the end, that's exactly how I imagine it will play out.

I was also sad to see it was mainly a one shot. This could be developed into a much longer piece-one which I think many agree would be wonderful to read.

I seriously aww'ed several times on this story. This was beautiful. Nice progression, angles, narration :) Having a scene with Bosco and Lisbon pre-series was something I've never read before (and really enjoyed). At times I get a little bored when stuff is not purely J/L related, but in this case, it never happened.

I did get lost a few times but then the next paragraph or line explained it for me. And if not completely, it gave the story the air of mystery and 'feeling' that real life has; you've got your interpretation and graps on things, but you don't know for sure if you're right. Their relationship, as it evolved, felt really natural, nice tag bits to the episodes and not forced at all. As it said, it was probably inevitable.

Something that I always wondered about this fic was why the title is all on lower case. If I'm totally honest, it was both that and that I'm always fearing angst fics (for the ending, you know xD) that kept me from reading this sooner. And I have noticed when you write the fic's name on another place (such as jello forum) you still put it all on lower case, so I know it's not a typo. Heh, I'm just curious.

I think you were totally right on the ending. For one it fits very well, couldn't have been all fairies and rainbows after that, and it certainly is hopeful, it made me smile and 'aww' (and a slight desire to whack you when you say you hate what you're writing, even when I know you're not refering to this, still xD! The talent is there my friend).
