I liked this. Nice to know that Mulder is there for Scully.

I loved this part: "We'll get through this," he said, pulling back a bit so that he could kiss the spot between my eyes. Right where my fear lay.

And that last line was perfect.

I say this about all of your stories, but I love this, I really do. It's sweet with an underlying sadness. And I also love your observation of Mulder protecting Scully because he didn't have much affection himself. Loved it.
