Hey, I'm totally the same way with talking to others, including trusted friends, and responding to comments is overwhelming to me so I had to stop a long time ago. Writers are introverts often forced to be extroverts.

Changing the topic...I'm enjoying this! Found it due to your edited repost on AO3, and I wanted to know what happens next :p Your writing has improved in 10 years-but that's not because it was bad to begin with _ You show an aptitude for storytelling, pacing, and emotions. Also, I'm a sucker for romantic angst (with a happy ending) and this is our jackpot golden to me :)

In all honesty I'm more upset with lavi than kanda for the simple fact that even if he didn't know out right he still suspected that Allen had feelings for kanda but he let it happen anyway he even admitted to knowing it would hurt Allen if he found out so why willing be involved in hurting your friend like that even if they weren't in a relationship.
Sorry had to get it off my chest love you though so sorry if I upset you.

And I don't really understand why people would nag at you for this cheating thing, because Kanda obviously didn't cheat on Allen, since, well, they weren't dating or anything.

I loved this story, this is exactly the way I'd imagine their relationship. Fighting, bickering, Moyashiing. I loved that there were just only 4 characters and you concentrated on their feelings and not the things around them. Loved the 'call me Allen' fights, loved how Lavi turned out to be an obstacle instead of helping. The only thing I didn't really like were the quotes, it stopped the flow of the reading and after a while I simply jumped them over without reading it. But anyways it was fun to read it and liked the happy end if we could call that - I think we definitely could since noone died and everybody is happy :) Thanks to you for writing it.

I enjoyed reading this story. I'm sorry to hear that people have been nagging you to put a warning on the story for infidelity. I disagree with them. They weren't in an actual relationship so it can't be classified as cheating.

However, I do still think of it as a betrayal. More so on Lavi's part (as a friend) than Kanda's.

I think what Lavi did was wrong. He is Allen's friend and when he found out about the relationship between Allen and Kanda he even questioned Kanda about Allen's feelings for him. He was disappointed in Kanda when it seemed liked he didn't even care to found out the truth. Lavi even questioned Kanda's true feelings about Allen. And yet he still had sex with Kanda. And then continued to get mad at Kanda for denying the issue. He did not know for a fact about Allen's feeling for Kanda. It could have been very likely that both of them were only in it for the sex (in which case there is no commitment to each other and they are free to have sex with any consenting adult they want to). But he didn't bother to personally ask Allen before doing it with Kanda. It was a horrible thing to do to a friend.

I thinks it's a little more tricky for Kanda. He was denying his feelings and wouldn't even entertain the idea that Allen could have feelings for him. So even though I think what he did wasn't right (as the reader who gets to see all the perspectives and thoughts of the characters) story wise, he didn't do anything wrong. There were no confessions from either party and no established monogamous relationship. I understand why Allen felt betrayed but it isn't really something he could hold against Kanda since again, they hadn't really talked things through. If Allen had first made his feelings known to Kanda and then he went and had sex with Lavi anyway, it would be a different story.

Anyway, I'm sorry if me writing this offends or angers you, it's not my intention. Your authors note just got me thinking and I wanted to see if maybe you had anything to comment on. Again, I don't see what happened as cheating, but I do think there was a betrayal of sorts.
