Guest chapter 1 . 12/23/2015
I can see how lost Faramir would be... Every single time he needs someone to turn to, Boromir is there. Then suddenly, he isn't. It's very touching when Aragorn calls him back and gives him hope again.

The image of a five-year-old Faramir crying and begging his mother to find him reduced me to tears. This is a beautiful piece!

Darkover chapter 1 . 3/24/2011
Dear Starlight9: This was a very moving story. You have done a good job of writing Aragorn's nobility and kingliness, and of capturing Faramir's loyalty, devotion, and goodness of character. You also have done a fine job of portraying the birth of friendship and king-subject relationship between these two men. I thought the dialogue at the end, between Aragorn and Faramir, was particularly good, and I liked the device of Aragorn showing Faramir the latter's possible future. Well done! Thank you for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover

Larner chapter 1 . 8/19/2010
A lovely work indeed! I love all the alternatives I've read of the recalling of Faramir to life, and this one is among the best. Excellent!
Hawk and Handsaw chapter 1 . 8/6/2010
Simply wonderful, I always love stories that more clearly define the childhood of Faramir and his relationship with his brother. It was also nice to see what was happening to Faramir while he was being healed. Another nice touch is how seeing the boat that carried Boromir tied in with the whole "ship without an anchor" thing. Was that intentional?

Here's to Tolkien and your awesome story!
