Stormhound12 chapter 2 . 9/13 I think it was good. It seemed in character because in the first chapter he was "happy" but it was obviously a partial facade at least. In this chapter we see his facade come down though, which gives it believability. Also, is he really red haired? I thought he was a brunette |
curryboh chapter 4 . 5/2/2016 O.o can't believe myself for not faveing this sooner, I like the axe, thing, Its SO astrid. I like it more than stormfly fr this meaner more centered Astrid. four stars. |
Guest chapter 2 . 4/30/2016 Fitst off changing moods is not so strange in a deep character like Hiccup, he is a VERY complex person with a strong sense of self, (that's not schizophrenia, you should look it up in a book not a wikic, wikis are garbge). Secondly its perfectly normal for people with a lifechanging experience to have quite a bit of theese mood changes as they figure out their new outlook on the world. |
Annieyay123 chapter 4 . 4/19/2016 I really like this fanfic you are really, well, you can interpret the things that happen in between the movies! |
draco7777777 chapter 2 . 7/30/2015 I'm pretty sure its Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third not Horrible just to let you know! Also about 2/3 the way down, where Hiccup is saying how clumsy he is and how if he loses a limb "Gobber" might say he's trying to copy him, you spelled Gobber, Gober |
PrincessArien chapter 4 . 6/25/2014 That was a rather cute story. I really liked getting to see the interactions between Hiccup and Astrid, you did that really well :) Thank you for the well done story. It's good to find and read those really character focused ones every once in a while. Anyways, that being said, I do feel like I have to point out that Hiccup wouldn't have been out for only a couple days in the movie. With an injury like that he'd be out of it for *weeks* at the very least, possibly a couple months before finally coming back around. The shock, trauma, bloodloss, not to mention the possibility of the wound getting infected or just getting some kind of illness or sick due to it, and who knows what else...Hiccup wouldn't have been up around for weeks. That time to adjust you pointed both the Vikings and dragons would need, they would have had all of that as there would have been a *significant* time-skip between Hiccup killing the Red/Green Death and when he finally wakes up again on Berk. After a couple of days the amputation wouldn't even be healed enough to walk on, let alone wear the prosthetic...so yeah, Hiccup was down for the count for quite awhile before the last scene(s) of the movie. |
anon chapter 4 . 6/20/2014 awesome ! 5-5 stars |
Kyubbiman chapter 4 . 6/2/2014 Nice cute story. Hiccup's fears and self doubts you portrayed are valid ones from someone in his situation, though he could have been less angsty about it in my opinion. You laid the self loathing on a little too strongly for my taste but it didn't take away from the story much. |
Tibki chapter 4 . 3/1/2014 BRILLIANT, one of the best characterizations and conversing fics I've read in this fandom. |
Xin0Lan chapter 4 . 12/11/2013 I love this! Especially the dialogue between the two and Astrid's long monologues. Very heartfelt and kind. |
348joey chapter 4 . 3/7/2013 I liked how you didn't just reuse "for everything else" like most fan authors do. Don't get me wrong, it was a good line in the movie; it's just a bit repetitive... ...as for the lulz: This wasn't something as minor as hiding a Night Fury from the village or finding the dragon's nest. This was SERIOUS! She was more of a 'hit things until the problem goes away' sort of girl. Sure, he could be stubborn, but Astrid could manage stubborn AND scary at the same time. |
348joey chapter 2 . 3/5/2013 The red headed Viking stared at her with an honestly puzzled expression on his face Hiccup Horrible Haddock the Third His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, and his hair is brown. Other than a few errors, I liked this chapter. |
348joey chapter 1 . 2/27/2013 Mind you, Viking butter-knives could be quite intimidating… Yes. Advice. That was what she would go to see him for. No other reason. Really! lulz |
Basil Allegri chapter 4 . 11/28/2012 This is an excellent Hiccup character study - there was some nice insight into Astrid's thoughts and actions as well. |
Sabre-de-la-Terre chapter 4 . 4/9/2012 I'd say your muse did a great job at guiding you. GREAT story and insight to Hiccup as a character. I saw nothing that contradicted what was portrayed in the movie. 10/10 Well done, and TY for writing this! |
