Hermione is not a damsel in distress, though she may be rescued. She'd definitely try to extricate herself from nasty situations.

I don’t know if you’ve abandoned the story; it seems that way, though. Just wanted to let you know I’m in love with it. The angst is amazingly written. I love how you’re slowly developing their relationship, while keeping the entire story realistic. Well done.
I understand how hard writing is. I understand it’s even harder when it’s been literally years. Please don’t let shame or something keep you from returning to the story. It’s totally yours, you can do with it what you want. It would be highly appreciated. But I’d like to thank you for writing and sharing what you have done so far anyway.

I really love where this story is headed! I love the premise of it too.
