Awesome little story.

This was great! I loved the conversation at the end, it was perfect I could see it all play out in my mind.

You have a talent for writing tension and suspense. In a one-shot, it can be hard to deliver real drama (as opposed to melodrama) since there's not much time for build-up-but your descriptions of the boys' emotions (esp. unspoken) was very effective. I don't know why - but I love the line, when Connor has Murphy pinned, and Murphy "...cut his head sharply to one side"...the image is so perfect to his character, and so believable. Nice work!
