Especially because the Hetalia girls don't get so much screen time and there are few fanfics about the Vietnam War.

I don't know if this is accurate or not. However, I do know that America didn't really 'win' the war and actually 'lost'

It is hard to determine what country actaually had 'vitory' at that time.

And I know for a fact that vietnam was split into south and north and had something to do with Russia and France.

This is a really, angsty story. It is also really sad too.

Sad for actual countries- and for the personification of Vietnam.
