I had to speak up! I absolutely love it when people get Stoick's and Hiccup's relationship right. So... THANK YOU for acknowledging that Stoick saw the writing on the wall and was just trying to keep his son from getting himself killed. THANK YOU for acknowledging that Hiccup was the one who ran around destroying things trying to fulfill his dragon-slaying fantasies. THANK YOU for showing that Hiccup does not resent his father, but that any regret carried over is an extension of the natural worry that comes with parenting. Just thanks all over!

Well Hic heared his friend in human than again natural dragon form . This is enouth evidence that the dragons are inteligent mighty creatures that even talk to other dragons . Is that enouth to intrigute Hic to be itrigued to try to teach Tooth to write and provably he to lern his language . It is possible .

This particular drabble just...when I saw that it was inspired by Hachi, I knew I couldn't just NOT leave a review. There is nothing that can reduce me to tears quite like that movie can, and this was just as heartwrenchingly, tear-inducing-ly beautiful. Kudos to you, and thank you. :')

I don't understand how in your headcanon dragons are immortal yet consider themselves the 'pets' of Vikings. I mean, as they mooch their food off of vikings, sure you could classify dragons that way, but why would they think of themselves that way, as having owners? Surely they, at least, would think themselves above such classification if they had the sentience you show? This just bothers me, since these concepts don't fit together in my head.

On a side note: Dragon immortality, or even exceptional long life (beyond 150ish years), makes NO sense post GOTNF. No way a single breeding pair has 3-9 offsping in a clutch (even if it's only a once a decade thing) without serious population pressure if members of the group don't die rather quickly. And since vikings have only been around the area for 300ish years, no way they would have had an impact on dragon evolution. Unless the dragons kill each other, it just doesn't make sense.
