i know its been a while since you updateed this fic. you have a very intersting plot and storyline.
i'm dissapointed that you didn't change ryoga history like you did with everybody else considering how genma was and his treatment.
i do hope that you might update this in the future.

are you planning on writing some more before this century ends? this is one of my favourite stories in ffnet... c'mon, do it for your fans!

Interesting. While i have never truely understood all the characters that were placed in the Bet, and what various assumptions were, the story is none the less good. My only recomendation would be to have ranma and ryouga make peace. the other themes from the manga that haven't been skewed should still be able to come into play, but ryouga should be honorable enough to not pick on ranma after hearing about ranma's dad. Of course, that's assuming you want to go philosphical. If you want to be a cruel sadistic bastard, make Ryouga learn a move that'll give ranma more of a run for his money then usual. Either one would be good to see in this. :) Keep up the good work.

As much as I hate to admit it, Lone Wolf has got a point. The sheer amount of R/A fics around the Ranma section sometimes make me sick. *sigh* It would be much better for your story if you made a SERIOUS fight, one challenge that Akane gets beat up on. She also seems to be a little strayed off bounds from the low-class martial artist that she is in canon. I know it's your own fic, but please, I got a little mad when I realized Ranma let Akane beat him. In canon he never would've let her beat him, his pride was too strong. I would assume that Genma would not take it too easy when he hears of the fact that Ranma was beaten by a girl. In this story, he could easily have beaten Akane and be done with it. That's the cold personality I think you're aiming for. Not this "buddy-buddy" stuff, as Lone Wolf put it. Again I persist in insisting that Ranma must beat up Akane severely in the second challenge fight, no matter what he thinks. Genma seems to be stronger in this fic.

I lost interest, I am sick of Ranma/Akane. I would of like it better if there was a strong sense of rivalry or hate that cause ranma's blood to run as cold as Ice, not this buddy buddy crap.

I feel sorry for Ranma, Genma has sittimaticly made Ranma emotionless, and so he cant make friends. Akane being a compadent Sparing partner, makes the story allot better, Ranma and Akane for ever.

Really like what you've done with the chapter so far. Considering the circumstance of the challenge, I don't think the characters are OOC. Having Akane gaining some control over her temper while still keeping some of it out of control is also good. Not having Ryougao cursed at the moment is interesting. Still, I would like to see what happen if someone else cursed him. I was thinking of Ukyou doing that. Oh, something like her meeting up with him and getting lost and she knock him into the pool. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more.

Well, the first day at school is in the record book now. It looks like Kuno's improved his rapid healing techniques to be able to spring back so thoroughly from a dislocated shoulder that quickly, but that's certainly not too big of a stretch in my mind. I see that Nabiki still runs some of her side busineses, I would guess that this version mostly does it for the pocket change, since the dojo is still operational as a business in your continuity. (Everyone has to have a hobby of some sort, after all.) I figured that of the three sisters, Nabs would be the one most likely to see that Ranma wasn't fighting to full potential, and now she's suspicious of him. A nice way to get her into something close to the canon mindset about Ranma.

It'll be interesting to watch Ranma studying Akane in their spars now that he knows she knows about him. I wonder which form she's going to prefer as a sparring partner, and how long it will take for water guns or some similar sort of device to make an appearance in the spars? After all, the school _is_ Anything Goes, after all
