I get this is meant as a sort of Disney-ized fantasy fiction story, but Bill as written should be pretty easy to get off the property with no legal involvement needed. He’s such a prissy wimp, they just need to lock him out of the house, day or night. Once he’s on a porch (with packed suitcases also outside somewhere easily found) or something, if he can’t get back through any of the doors, he won’t hang around long to suffer the climate & bugs.

Or they can pull a TB Merlotte move — tie him up & dump him in a nice swampy area along with marshmallows. The gators would probably be willing to eat a douche bag as long as he was garnished with lots of marshmallows.

She’s already sure she wants to call off the engagement. Bill’s done nothing but annoy her for days. Why is she thinking of spending the day with Bill & introducing him to ‘Bon Temps?

SERIOUS PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS! That’s what this Sookie needs!

“He sounded like the boyfriend equivalent of fingernails on a chalkboard.“ I can’t think of a more perfect description of every version of Bill I’ve seen. SO SPOT-ON PERFECT!

I tend to agree with Tara’s assessment of Sookie too.

It looks to me like this Sookie just enjoys being the center stage BITCH entirely too much. 98% of Sookie characters are major bitches, but it’s a much smaller percentage that expect the world to revolve around them.

This chick spends most of her time pissed off but is never quite sure why she’s angry or who she’s really angry with. She even invents reasons to be pissed off then gets honked off because the supporting players to her starring role don’t guess correctly at what she’s flying off the handle about at any given moment.

At this point, I’m tempted to root for her heading back to Dallas to make Compton’s life a well deserved hell and leaving the family & friends behind to live happily ever after, banshee free. I’m a rabid fan of Eric getting his Sookie in these stories because I like a happy Eric, but I frequently question why a given Eric thinks it’s worth the hassle. In this case, I’m waaaaaaayyy over on the side of thinking she’s not worth the effort. Maybe ... MAYBE, with some meds & therapy she could become passable?

There are readers who would look forward to Bill arriving? AGH! I could look forward to his plane crashing or a really quick onset of a fast, fatal illness, but his arrival? Yuck!

Uh oh. I could see these three conspirators accidentally wrecking Eric’s efforts &/or progress with Sookie.

Naïve kids. They don’t need seductions, they need to cooperatively & systematically piss Bill off every chance they get. He’ll lash-out at them. Sookie will take offense, eventually anyway. If she’s a typical Sookie, she’ll burn too much time assuming it’s the kids’ faults rather than Bill’s nature, until she just can’t kid herself anymore.

Eight against Bill with Sookie waffling between playing referee, defending Bill to any & all of the eight, defending her siblings & possibly Maxine against Bill — I predict a lot of squirming, scowling, & posturing from Bill. If I didn’t expect the Sookie character to be portrayed as the usual ‘devoted to her dickhead douche bag’ no matter what he pulls while disliking and being nasty to the Eric character out of nothing but nasty, pigheaded stupidity, I wouldn’t give Bill much chance of keeping Sookie. But I doubt this version of Sookie will be much different than 98% of the other Sookies.

I’m dreading his arrival into the active story already. My only hope is that love of her siblings, their complete dislike of Bill, & the shitty way I foresee Bill treating her family members (& eventually neighbors & friends) will get this Sookie to see sense & dump him sooner than typical Sookies. Certainly any nastiness he directs at Eric & Pam won’t bother her much & I don’t know what the AH equivalents of drawing & raping her in a car trunk or procuring her for a queen might be, but him disrespecting her won’t make much of a dent in her ‘devotion’ anytime soon.

I remember loving this story when I first read it a few years back. I've started rereading it. I just realized a little memory loss is a good thing;-} I'm liking this one more second time around. Weird.

This is pretty good.
I'm more into Supe stories, but I do love the occasional AH :) All In comes to mind :)
I know this is an old story for you, so I don't know if you still check your reviews. I'll do my best to do every chapter, but RL is kicking my butt lol.
Love these 2 kids. And their view on 'revisit'. If I were Aunt Linda and discovered that her 11 and 12 yr old neiphew absconded on a long bus trip, I think I would freak. Big time!

Different! The set up with all the siblings - no tortured sookie! Having to mother kids and parent the parent explains why she so high-handedly decides she can just unilaterally sell the house I guess.

I know it has been years since writing this story, but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed it! I would love to know where the characters end up in the future and to see where you take them.

This is one of the funniest stories I have ever read! OMG I found myself laughing until I cried, several times! Such hilarious visuals! Such incredible and over-the-top characters! I loved getting to know each and every one of them! Would love to read more! On to it...

Bill is just too funny! I can just picture his face! I wish Eric was hiding in the wings and hearing all of this! Can't wait till they arrive home! On to it...
