Awww... That was really sweet and arthur especially was really in character for that time period. I loved how you showed them sort of falling for each other before 2x02 :) made me smile.

That was absolutely adorable! I'm a sucker for cute stories like this, as rarely as I admit it. I thought that both Gwen and Arthur were incredibly in-character and that the situation was plausible. Great job!

please please continue! Thiss tory was amazing! I love pre-season 2 stories, it is the most FREE period to make up how he fell for her... cause by 2x1 he was already refering to how she "ALWAYS surprised him" meaningsomething happened during the break we didn't see.

He finally started noticing her, or more correctly seh finally stopped HIDING and SHYNING away form him, while all the other sesrvant girls wanted him to see them.

Maybe you could mention that in his contemplations, that he sort of suspected that she tried to escape hi attention to avoid the fate of some willing girls he had fun with in his YOUNGER days (emphasize on the PAST tense here, like when he was 16/17/18, anf then tired of it) ... and that he thought she judged him for it, though she never said anything, maybe Merlin would say something about what him and Gwen talk about.

Another idea is that Arthur asks Merlin what they talk about AFTER he sees the two returning form a walk gathering Guias supplies and then Merlin would fill him in.
