Nice story. You captured Poland really well here. I agree with you about dropping the valley girl act when he's being serious.

...I think the original "Meeting of the World" strip (the one where Poland angrily tells Russia that if he touches Liet,Poland will wreck him) also had him speaking normally for that line.
