Even though this is a short scene, I like the way you portrayed it.

I needed to add one thing. And, of course, post under this name this time, so that I can feel marginally consistent. Ha...like that'll ever happen. Anyway -

I love that you can feel and smell this. The cold metal, the mud, the pain . . . It's all really sensory and really vivid. I like! (makes me think of all those years at the Catholic Schools marathons...ohhhhh the mud and worms...i think it rained 3 out of every 4 years...and then there's the March each January...every time... Wow, I never realized how many icky worm-smell memories I had until reading your piece. Is that a compliment?)

But, worminess aside, I love the attention to detail. Your descriptions are so specific, and it's easy to identify - I can definitely imagine what it would be like to BE there. Good, good, good!

I do believe I've never seen a fic about this little scene before. Little thoughts, just the portrayal through her actions, kinda cool.

Very nice. The emotion's not too overdone. I don't think I've ever seen a fic quite like this one. I hope you'll write more Zechs/Noin once you've finished Wounds of War.

WAI! Me yet again. Another interesting fic- the little scenes that we never see during the series make great writing material. Noin's reaction to Zechs' flight in the Tallgeese is on target (no pun intended). Now, how about Wounds of War? And your AU fic? -Major-

I always enjoy reading your writing - you write with such descriptive detail, as well as sensitive insight into the characters' minds. It makes me especially happy that you stay true to the characters as they are portrayed in the series. Noin, for all that she loves Zechs, knows better than to mention it: partly out of respect for him and for their differences, but also out of a pride and strength that I see a lot of people compromising when they attempt to write about her feelings in more depth. You show us a strong, competent Noin, whose pride is a necessity of her position, enabling her to act decisively in moments of crisis. Keep writing!
