CNJ chapter 1 . 9/30/2018
Intriguing story. I also watched WotW when it ran and I loved Suzanne McCullough...she had those huge brown eyes, was so courageous, yet so sensitive with lots of anxiety and was a great mum to Debi.

I think Ironhorse would take care of both of those aliens posing as 'police officers' and check out the third one also, so they wouldn't lure real police officers into their trap.

I think Debi did know some things about the aliens and the Blackwood project; she wasn't kept entirely in the dark.

And I know Suzanne, who would never have tried to 'homeschool' with her busy schedule, had Debi in school during the week, so Debi wasn't totally isolated.

I know the show never clarified what sort of school Debi was in, but I think she had to have been receiving some sort of schooling...probably a small private school in the mountains with small classes.

While both Paul and Debi go through a real scare with the alien attack, I doubt Debi would be crying as much as you have her do here...sure, she'd be frightened, but wouldn't be crying and screaming, especially if Ironhorse was staving them off at their Bronco.

But good that toward the end when the alien has Debi, Debi gives him a good bite and is able to escape instead of being totally helpless and having Paul do all the heroic work.

I do think Suzanne would cry in relief when Debi returned...of all of them, Suzanne was usually the one who was quick to cry.

I laughed a bit at the conversation between the aliens at the end...those vacuum-faced aliens are simple-minded.

Excellent Ironhorse & Debi story! Good characterization, good description. I always liked Ironhorse's avuncular relationship with Debi; you've captured it perfectly here.

Great story. I really enjoyed the idea of Ironhorse showing a softer side by taking Debi camping. Good work.

Short but great! There just isn't enough WoTW love out there.
