His mom had an affair with someone(could have been his dad's best friend,it happens)and Edward was the product of that Edward had an accident or operation,needing blood,they first tested it and found out that it was a blood type other than his mom's(his other grandmother's?)and his dad found punish her for having the affair,she was made to give him to the foster care system and both parents disinherited him!

When I was in 8th grade we read The Outsiders(not all the way the teacher thought some of it was encouraging smoking and other bad things for us to do).I was naturally curious about what the rest of it said,Being 14 and the teacher not wanting us to read it did that for fact:The girl who wrote it was only 16 at the time(1960's)and the people in charge of putting it out for people to read it thought no one would read a book about boys that was written by a 's the reason she only used her initials!Also,I wuold buy the movie on Blu-ray(if you have a player),it has more detail than the original version(not that the original is bad,but if you want to really understand the story,it explains what the original doesn't and what's in the book is in the movie,too!Happy watching and reading!

I am glad Bella is getting help but Edward is still a dick. He is a cops step son and a bully. He really is not better than Charlie. Edward is an emional abuser.
