Mally seems to be the only one who doesn't ship Alice and Tarrant. She seems to be suffering a severe case of Friend's Jealousy. I also enjoyed her snarking with Chess.
To be honest, I thought I was gonna be bored once the story moved away from Alice and Tarrant. But nope! I still had a great time reading about Mally's compelling quest! Again, good job! :)

I don't mind Alice and Tarrant freely showing and sharing their affection and Love to each other... But I do hope that they'll exercise proper discretion when doing it.

This is friggin' adorable! :) I love these stories where Tarrant goes up to our world and freaks out Alice's contemporaries! :D I wish there were more of them! I just saw Through the Looking Glass almost a week ago and it really brought me back in the mood. I must admit that I haven't seen the Tim Burton movie in full yet (just bits and long sections), but TtLG has really made me a fan! :) The numerous strange meetings Alice and Tarrant have had over the course of Underland's History really make me root for Tarrant getting The Alice! :) Seriously, he's had a crush on the 'customer with a lovely head' (or as I now call her: Lovely Blonde Head!) since he was like 8 years old! I used to find this pairing creepy (my first memories of AiW being the animated movie with old Hatter)... but within the Burtonverse, seeing that Tarrant has actually met Alice twice before as an adult BEFORE he met her as a child has really reduced the creepy vibes the pairing sent me. And now whenever I think of young Tarrant meeting older Alice and younger Alice meeting older Tarrant, and then Older Alice and Older Tarrant getting together... All I can think is: Awwwww! X3 Yep! I'm one sappy guy! :P
