The dichotomy of the two events is so intriguing. That Sherlock would allow himself to feel safe with his Watson is heart-melting, especially for a man who tries so hard to wrap himself completely within his mind.

Oh, this was awesome. Very well-written. And this line was just pure brilliance:

"When a brutal man touches softly, it is only another kind of hurt."

That's such an incredibly true statment, and yet one I don't think I've ever heard expressed before.
