Absolutely wonderful fic! I'm not sure if you'd plan on updating after over a year of being on hiatus, but I'll be waiting for when you do. Excellent take an alternate history that feels natural. Al doesn't want to give in, the British Empire doesn't want to lose any colonies, especially one as vast as America, and the Bad Touch Trio just wants to see England burn. Excellent.

I wouldn't recommend Ao3. It's an okay site, but... It more or less a runaway site to get to when you get into trouble here. Because this site has rules that do get enforced many get upset at the site for their rules, or for users warning them about said rules so they could avoid the trouble, and any genuine criticism they get here (for some reason wrongly calling them trolls, or bullies or some nonsense. They even get their own readers to attack people for it.), or they don't like the glitches. So they run to either Ao3 or Wattpad, so they can post the stories that are banned here there (Ao3 is pretty much a porn site at this point. They even got some featuring children having sex and for some reason this is not barred in the ToS. Your not allowed to link to child porn, but writing it is okay in their books... I question the staff of this site mental abilities.), hide from critics or anything they deem negative thanks to both sites excluding binary options, and making it feel like you are in the wrong for even trying to say a single thing that might help the author improve. Don't know the logic behind the glitch runners since Ao3 has its own share of glitches, same with Wattpad.

But Ao3 is an okay site, it's layout isn't too bad. Search feature is a literal nightmare, FFN and Wattpad's is better when you want to find something. I recommend getting an add on to deal with browsing. While getting reviews is lowered there, you get alot more kudos though which is the short "fantastic", you may find the bonus of notes to your liking. You can also change the theme, and I heard you can put your own style to it. I'm not sure what that is exactly. I do know Ao3 offers to hide writers style when you read.

I'd say you would like Wattpad more. Imagine Facebook/Tumblr/FFN/FictionPress in one site and that is Wattpad. They don't have things organized like here and Ao3, but you have an easy time searching if you know the tags to look for. I recommend checking it out. It's also breast with original works.

Oops, here I am going on a tangent about alternative sites instead of talking about the story. Wonderful new chapter! Can't wait to see what happens next and for more historical interactions!

AO3 is pretty good, not going to lie. Most of the authors I've been following are now on there, and their formatting is much better. I moved most of my work there during the great flight in 2013 (I think) when FF started censoring stuff etc etc.

I agree with you-France is definitely the kind of man to always get in the last word.
