just wanted to leave a note that this is one of the best Lorne-stories I have read so far here! Love the brilliant idea and you're writing.
I know it's a rather old story by now, but still I'd love to find out how it continues. As writing is an important part of my job, I do know the importance of cliffhangers ;) That doesn't mean I like it, especially when it comes to a story I really enjoyed reading.
Maybe I managed to encourage you again (hopefully). If not, at least you know someone really appreciates your work!

Oh man! What have you done to my favourite major and colonel? This story is fabulous and I love the way you have taken Lorne and twisted him so out of character. I just hope you bring him back again, especially before he does something he won't be able to live with. More please!

I truly hope you update soon! I have been waiting for what seems like forever! I'm intrigued as to how Lorne will be returned to his former self, and will the bad guys show up in Atlantis?

Yay! You updated! How wonderful to see you post again. I always go back and re-read the previous chapter just to catch up if it's been a while. I again realized that you set a very good pace for the story. I know a lot of folks don't buy into Lorne being a central and pivotal figure in Atlantis, but I disagree. I love how you've made him the center of this story if for no other reason than to see how loved and valued he is by all of Atlantis. That said, I'm so happy to see that you're back-at least for now-but what a cliffhanger! I cannot wait to see what happens. I'm sorry if real life is keeping you busy-that sucks! However, I hope you don't keep us waiting for too long. As far as writing, I bet your muse is lost amongst your textbooks and notes. Dig her up!
