I won’t be reading this any further. If readers want a story where Reid is acting like a helpless child vs a traumatized young man, and is constantly victimized...over and over again, this is it. After nine chapters, I’m done.

Interesting storyline. In my opinion, however, some of this does not sound realistic. For example, I can see traumatic PTSD causing awful flashbacks and making someone nervous and fearful, but I don’t think that a grown young man would have relatively normal moments during the day, while 90% of the time he constantly cowers or falls crouching on the floor to hide, or literally clings to another man in fear and trembling like a 3 year old child. Secondly, Morgan would have gotten a full background on Spencer when taking him, yet Garcia learns about his IQ and degrees it’s barely acknowledged. I’m interested to see where this story goes, and I can see potential here, but some of this just doesn’t make sense to me.

Why do all these bad things keep happening to Spencer? Eric deserves the worst punishment there is. Ever. The sicko. Bleh. Like, why is everyone all up in Spencer's grill like this? He's too sweet for them.

Well, it seems like he's already showing improvement with the change of environment not even changing medications. Morgan knows "some college" but I wonder if he bothered to find out the rest. But hey, that's why Garcia is "all knowing." She asks the questions and gets the answers. This chapter makes it more clear that this version of Spencer probably had his three Phds at age 20 - he just had a different upbringing and location leading to his ordeal rather than him concieving of joining the academy or interacting with Gideon.

Okay. Thanks for being clear that the seizures are caused by a physical brain trauma issue, not just the experience... and sometimes brains can heal.. and sometimes they don't. So far though, the situation does boarder on infantilism... which is not a trope that I enjoy.

I'm hoping you'll get to whatever education Spencer had up to age 18 and between age 18 and 20 soon - otherwise this story only features the body and not the mind of the character that I like.

Wow, this version of Spencer got the even shittier side of the stick. Hard to see him making much of a recovery the way things are now, but it has been two years and what happened to him that is long term isn't physical.
