I found this story years ago and enjoyed what there was of it. So when I came back to re-read it I was very happy to see that you're taking an interest in it again. Good Charlie Swan stories are rare and much appreciated. And just the thought of reading of Bella and Charlie's reunion has me excited. I've enjoyed Charlie's detective work and thought-processes throughout the story. Very nice writing, too. Thanks so much!

I'm SO happy that you're picking this up again! I love this story because it's so true to Charlie's character. (That whole, "need to know" B.S. from the SM version was just complete nonsense. Charlie's a COP, for gosh sakes! There's no way a FATHER would just choose to wear blinders and not ask questions when his daughter is so different, but even more so a COP/FATHER.) . SM's version felt lazy, in my opinion.
So I really love where you're going with this story and giving Charlie some realism and capturing the heartache of his loss so poignantly. You're a fantastic writer and I'm eager to read the next portion. I'm hoping he'll get to see Bella again soon. Something tells me he's not going to go easy on her. I'm hoping he really lets her have it. His grief and anger deserve to be unleashed. While they meant well, a good parent wants to be there for their kid in hard times most of all. Charlie deserved to know the truth; especially after they married, they should have told him everything. Didn't Bella hate it that Edward made decisions for them both and left her out of the equation and left her in the dark and lied to her and left, for her own safety? So what makes it okay for her to do the same thing to her dad? The Volturi are scary, and yes they're dangerous, no doubt. But Charlie, being a father who loved his daughter, deserved to know the truth just like Bella did. Danger or no danger. I can't wait to read the next chapter! I hope Bella sees the irony, that she did to her dad the very same thing that Edward did to her, in NM.

Definitely not moved on! I remember loving reading this because I thought it gave Charlie the proper importance he deserves XD Very excited for the new chapter.
