The story has promise, but you need to go back and edit for some simple grammer mistakes. Good job. :)

So, I loved the bit when John's monster (b/c that's what I'm going to call it) kept telling him that the real reason he killed all those women was because he always wanted to kill Helen. *slaps forehead* I can't believe I never thought of that before! It fits SO perfectly! The way the real Jack the Ripper mutilated those women shows some proof that he had SERIOUS issues with women-the question is, WHY...and Helen is the PERFECT answer in the Sanctuary universe :D

Anyway, on to read the next chap!

Aww! I love how Niko and Helen are so protective of each other. And I love your little connection to 'Dracula' at the end-that was AWESOME! And it totally fits, too xD Especially since I think Stoker actually had something to do with the investigation of the Ripper murders in real life, but I'm not sure. Anyway, lovely job yet again :)

:O WHAT? NO! Poor Niko, he doesn't care at all about Helen's survival :( Sweet, but tragic. This chap moved a bit fast, and it probably would've been better if you'd stretched out the events over a few chapters, but overall I liked it, especially Helen's denial at the beginning and then her realization of her love for Nikola at the end.

Can't wait for more!
