I just recently watched Basilisk, and the ending tore me apart. This fic helped to heal that wound. :) Great job keeping everyone in character, and thank you for writing some of this fluff! :)

This is really sweet, and I totally agree with you, Basilisk deserve some more love, the endinf of the anime is so incredibly sad I was happy to read this. I'll prefer to imagine your fic as the ending now. Great work and thanks for sharing!

Yes, the archive is small because Basilisk is pretty much underrated as an anime, and it’s not like Naruto, which despite a much less stellar storyline and far less interesting characters, gets heaps and heaps of fic (I’m not bitter, I’m not). I just think that seinen anime and manga in general tend to get far, far less fandom attention than they deserve D:

Anyhow, I liked this – it’s believably done. Oboro is presented as clumsy in the anime, so her not being able to kill herself properly isn’t too much of a stretch XD.

Gennosuke blushing is so cute. I can’t help chuckling. But really, I think the cuteness and fluffiness is appropriate, given how those two genuinely loved each other and, had it not been for the whole tragedy that wasn’t ANY of their fault, I think they’d have been like this – sweet, cute and just happy to be together.

I don’t think porn was really necessary here. Somehow I just feel it’d have been too soon at this point, and them just being like this gives the fic a sweet touch?

Okay yes ! U R so right about how they ended it . The ending sucked. I love love love yrs ending! Yrs. should be the ending that the show had . Seriously . It was a really good series and they literally killed it w/ the yours is wonderfull ! Well Done !
