I love this! Very well written. Everyone seemed in character, especially Sasuke. People tend to romanticize him and his actions, so I'm glad you kept him IC. And I love Sakura in this fic! I wish we saw more of this side of her in the anime. You've taken her character and perfected it, so splendid job!

I know it's been a long time since this was posted, but I might as well.
If I reviewed everything of yours I've read that'd be pretty much everything you wrote, and it would be a long unintelligible rant of fangirling, so I'll cut to the chase.
One: I love your characterizations of Sakura and Sasuke, here and everywhere. Especially in this, their relationship is so tentative, exactly what I imagined sasuke's homecoming to be before canon blew a hole in that (but let's be real, canon rarely does much else). Sakura is so strong and self assured - an enhanced version of canon Sakura. I dislike Sakura generally but mostly because she has such potential, and like always, you develop her potential to become a kickass tree destroyer here. Thank you. Sasuke is perfect in all his weird mixed feeling self too. No words, really.
Two: the kind of bittersweet ambiguity, I think, is what you do best. It's wonderfully done here, especially. The struggle Sakura has isn't fully, nearly solved at the end: just enough so that it's not a thread left unraveling, but not enough so you have nothing left to ponder. Perfect. That's a hard balance to get at.
Man. So good. You should just do a massive revamp of the manga with a BAMF Sakura.

OH. Kakashi, being my favorite character of all time anywhere everywhere, I loved his mentions in this. I just love him. I've loved him since I was a wee child of four gazing up on the sacred television screen and saw a masked man with his porn.

YES, I love it when Sakura is the star. And I don't mean like a heroine, but more like a stronger person who is able contribute to the missions. I find it terribly annoying how lots of stories still portray her as a typical damsel-in-distress despite her transformation in Shippuden and powerful training under Tsunade. So thanks for forgoing the usual and writing her the way she actually IS now. :D

The ending was kinda vague but I liked it. It seemed fitting considering that Sasuke isn't one to ever rush into things like love. Probably might take years for them to get together, but I liked how it ended on a note that seemed to say, 'this is the start of something.'
