This story is absolutely perfect. I adore how you described the feelings and emotion between them during the dance. All the desire and passion, the moment when he kissed her forehead and it said the wave of sparks or something related to that it was amazing. This is the BEST AU story I have ever read. Spectacular job.

Hi there, how are you? I hope you received my last review okay :) Sorry this one has taken a while; RL stuff is busy. I did enjoy this chapter, especially the unexpected at the end; I can well imagine Adam being completely intimidated by Mac. I actually enjoyed the angst and the conflict between Mac and STella also. One thing I would say though is that I think as a character, Mac has more self-esteem than he seems to have here. I think that's part of the reason he and Stella kind of come together so well; both are strong and forceful personalities.

I'm sorry this is a little short as well, but I will send a longer review next time. I just wanted to pick out a few phrases I really liked as well - I loved the line about the confines of memory Mac has and the image also of how he would sometimes slam his fist into a wall, just to feel something. Very powerful and very easy to imagine as well. I hope you can update soon!

So happy that Mac acknowledge to himself that Stella makes him feel the way Claire did. That's a nice sight for Mac to walk into early in the morning. Hopefully by the time either of them walks in on the other again, they would have the privilege to do something about the situation. Loved them enjoying breakfast together. That's another scene that I'm looking forward to replaying. And of course Stella's asking him out to drink, I mean, who else would she be asking. Love that they could flirt even if its about her safety. That is just so them. Sighs. of course Mac being Mac just had to take Stella's comments about rather being by herself then with him to heart and add his own interpretations to it, even if she said it in the heat of the moment. But then of course Stella had to fire back. Still with Stella being able to read behind Mac's anger, shouldn't Mac at least realize that maybe he's wrong with starting the argument and that just maybe someone who really knows him that well, is well the one. So Tony's dead. So who would that leave to be the killer now, hmm, since Jayme's dead too. Odd to see Jess and Don so distant from each other. At least it ended up with having a date scheduled. For a minute I really thought it was the killer in her building and not Mac. Glad it was Mac though and glad his apology was accepted. Well I had a feeling a real intruder would appear and interrupt the would have been kiss. Just didn't expect it to be Adam. Wonder what he's doing there, I mean it can't be the same reason as Mac.
