I don't even want to start with a greeting or anything like that. THIS IS SO GOOD. I was immediately sucked into the story and I just couldn't stop and the characters are so well matched like they are in the books and the idea is just so good and... *inhales deeply* OMG I LOVE IT THIS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN PUBLISHED IN BOOK 11 WITH ALL THE OTHER SHORT STORYS ITS JUST LIKE FLANAGAN HIMSELF WROTE THIS. Sorry for the all-caps I would have shouted this in a normal conversation too. ️
This is officially the best rangers fanfic I have ever read. Thank you so much for writing this.

Ermigerd, SO CUTE. I love this! And it's spectacularly in character as well, a lot of fanfictions make Halt more cheerful and emotional than he actually is, but yours is spot on. And Will was perfect too; just a touch of that adorable admiration that we all love. Great job!

Hmm, interesting. How did you know Will's mother didn't die in the actual act of giving birth? Thats what I'd thought.

Have you read book 11? I haven't, so maybe it explains more. I'm currently getting someone to beta a short one-shot about how Will ended up in the ward and what Halt might've felt like. I admit, reading this bought up some important points that I'd forgotten about, so thanks.
