Yay. That was nice. All angsty. Ending could have been more in-character. I know that song. John Barrowman did a cover that turned it into an excellent melancholy Dean/Cas song. To the extent that that was literally the only impression I was getting, and I'm not even a shipper.

Grrrr. Darn you and your awesome angsty Winchesters! I am simultaneously both loving and hating you right now (though the love is quickly beating the other into submission). Not too many fanfic authors can actually bring tears to my eyes...But you...every freakin' time!

For real though, this was amazing. MBV is one of the few eps I haven't seen (I am waiting *very* impatiently for my S5 DVDs) but knowing the boys' characters and having a teeny bit of back ground on the episode, I could totally visualize everything you laid out. Loved it.:)

By the way...is it Thursday yet? ;)

Very touching short story. I loved how you wrote Sam's thoughts and feelings throughout this second (or third?) detox. ...and most of all, I loved the end where Sam comforts Dean for a change. Very well written, I could imagine this scene perfectly fine and loved that Sam placed his hand over Dean's heart.

That was so heartbreaking. I love that they both tried to reassure their brother. It isn't their fault that this is happening to either of them, all of this is completely out of their control. I'm so glad they have each other to get through it all.

This was just lovely! :P I adored the Sammy h/c, his thoughts throughout his detox but especially the tender 'I'm not empty' scene with Dean. So sweet!

And thinking about it, alot of those songs lyrics could apply to moments in the show-waiting for a second chance, building the lies,pulled from the wreckage etcetc. Happy Anniversary!

I'm glad that Dean and Cas stayed with Sam, I felt so sorry for Sam in tht episode. I don't think Dean's soul is dead as Famine said, he's been through so much with hell and now this war. He just lost his way right now, and with Sam's and cas's help he'll find it again.

I know what song your talking about, it's a very beautiful song and a little depressing.
