I second whomever suggested you read the manga - Winry's character is far more developed in the manga (and the new anime seems to be cheerfully flaunting that, as well).

This is a sweet story, regardless. Al's very practical about thinking they need to find someone to replace Ed's arm and leg but I love Ed's reaction, all the same.

This was so sweet in a heart-wrenching way. This is going to sound strange, but I had some trouble accepting the way the anime ended too. My best friend suggested that I read the manga. Not only does it have more EdWin, the plot may possibly be more crazy then the anime. In a GREAT way. Check it out, it's worth it. :] Keep writing!
