Reviews for When a Legend falls
ChaosDancer12 chapter 1 . 5/27/2019
I am crying right now. I grew up watching Power Rangers on and off and Tommy was one of the characters that just stuck with me...

This was really well written.
Snowtiger 21 chapter 1 . 3/26/2017
This is a beautiful story. Sad but really well written. In the end I kind of got another idea for a line:
"Tommy Oliver
Mentor to few
Leader to many
Hero to all"
I hope my english isn't too bad.
Dash master 48 chapter 1 . 7/26/2016

Crystalstorm chapter 1 . 3/22/2010
This story was well written and got the emotion's across nicely. I enjoyed it as much as one can enjoy such a sad and heartfelt fic. I could see Tommy doing something like that. Ja.
DyingInnocence chapter 1 . 3/7/2010
That was amazing.
iceprincessforever chapter 1 . 3/6/2010
Wonderfully written.

This is defenitely one of those stories that stay with you long after you've read it. The fact that his downfall sprung from humans rather than the monsters he had fought daily really makes you reflect upon humanity as a whole.

The italized ending gave me shivers.
shadowneko003 chapter 1 . 3/5/2010
Excellent piece. Down to core, the rangers are still human. This type of writing reminds us that although they're Rangers, they're still human, prone to human limitations.
NiNjit chapter 1 . 3/4/2010
excellent story, absolutely loved it. always hate seeing Tommy die, but such a great story, still.
Ghostwriter chapter 1 . 3/4/2010
Wow. Awesome job. Catch ya on the flip side.
liron-aria chapter 1 . 3/4/2010
Oh, that made me tear up. There's irony in the fact that Tommy would fall at the hands of humans and not at the hands of monsters or aliens.

I loved the instances of Tommy going to help his students, comforting them, and calming them down. I always thought Tommy would have been a spectacular teacher, had we been shown more in DinoThunder.

The funeral was beautiful. I loved the Rangers all demorphing in front of Tommy's coffin, and the DinoThunder Rangers all vowing to honor his legacy and make sure everyone knows what a hero he was.

I've got a few things, though: When you say Tommy has green eyes, are we talking flashing Green from when he was the Green Ranger, or are his eyes naturally green, like Harry Potter's? Because from what I've seen of Power Rangers, Tommy's eyes are dark brown. Also, Tommy's not an only child. In Zeo, he learned about his brother, David Trueheart. You're got a few syntax errors, like misused words and forgotten punctuation. For example, this sentence is confusing: The body would be kept there for three honours were everyone could pay their respects. Do you mean three *hours*? Lastly, the Red Ninja's name is spelled Shane, not Shaun. They're just little things, but they pull away from the overall brilliance of you story.

Anyway, this was great! Congrats on a job well done!
