Hmm... I'm not sure I think the idea of a shrine family being secretly Christian would go down very well... especially considering that no matter way you look at it the polytheistic nature of Shintoism clashes with the monotheistic nature of Christianity (although, the way you described it did seem pretty reasonable). However, I'm glad that it didn't become the centre of the story in any case.

... Whatever. I suppose I'm just being nitpicky because I tend to get like that when it comes to Asia (Asian studies major... it has warped my mind).

Anyway, I think this shows alot of potential and I overall am liking it so far! (Despite the religion issue, that doesn't change the fact that I like the story... keep that in mind)
