Fictatious chapter 1 . 8/21/2010
I have to say that I found the Japanese suffixes really distracting, and normally something like that (when the characters and setting aren't in Japan) would probably make me turn around and not read a fic at all, but your story and characterizations were really interesting and over-all I liked it a lot, but I do think it would be better if the Japanese suffixes were just cut out entirely.

I love how you changed the names. It gives a different feeling to the characters.
adele4 chapter 1 . 2/25/2010
Okay, I love this, but you already know that. I think what I like best is how smoothly it all seems to run: you can follow and believe all their actions and reactions perfectly; that, and the way al three of them interact with each other, which really makes the threesome work.

I love how Ryou's relationship with Bakura evolves, how he starts out not liking the thief, and how it changes. I love the role you gave Ryou, and his relationship with Malik, and the way he seems to have a connection to these spirits, or at least wants to.

I also love Malik's role, -his- relationship with both of the others – and how each relationship is a bit different: the weird but truly affectionate thing he and Bakura have, the friendship with Ryou which he seems to need, and I already said that I love how Ryou and Bakura interact – and his past history (it fits the character to well) and the reason he's away from court.

I also really like how it fits in with canon, the way his quest is something Bakura just can't give up, for all he seems almost carefree when it comes to Malik and their stealing sort-of game; it's interesting how the more serious part if something that seems to come out more with Ryou, though judging by what he says at the end Malik isn't completely fooled.

I also love the use of jewellery, how it starts and ends with it; the gesture at the end was really touching and beautiful. I can't say I -enjoyed- the ending, of course, but I did find it very good (I'll comfort myself with the idea that they'll all meet in a future life...).

And then, you know, there are many other things I loved: Bakura stealing into their rooms and bringing in stolen wine and Ryou's annoyance over it, Bakura stealing Ryou's bracelet and Malik taking it back, Malik and Ryou riding together, Ryou's vision, the moment Ryou and Malik find out about Bakura's death, Rishid's presence, ...

Really beautiful story. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this and like how you stayed true to everyone's character whilst giving them an original spin. And hurray for gravityshipping! There really aren't enough fics out there with this shipping.
