I'm glad He realized he has to come "home". I see the old joel and maggie still, but also what they have become through the years, age, suffering. It was heartbreaking to read Chris being lie that, loving Maggie so much. yes i think he is like that. I see how hard it must have beeen to all three of them. I wonder what caused Maggie to run away from Chris. You write well, even if it is sad.

I love Maggie and Joel together. I was really sorry he left. I think after they both wanted the other to be happy,thinking it would be better for hi m to stay in New York liveing his life, and for her staing in Cicely living her own life. Your story just shows that. Sadly somehow showing, maybe it was not entirely satisfying for ether of them. I now she loved Chris. Who would not. Yet it seems like the love Joel and Maggie felt did not disappear, seems like they never stopped loving each other, iIt must be hard for a spouse to bear that, because maybe unspoably but it was always in the air. Ah. Breaks my heart. Ed is sweet though. haven't changed. :D
